Here in Bali you get used to a lot of weird things happening. Going to school here for almost four years now, I have gotten quite accustomed to being late to class because of, what now seems normal, setbacks. Here are a few perfectly pardonable reasons for being late to school:
“I got stuck behind a ceremony precession”
“Sorry, there was a cremation on my road.”
“A coconut fell through my car windshield.”
“Some cows got stuck in the road.”(Or ducks, or monkeys, or dogs…)
In this case, you would want to come to Green school anyways for its delicious jamu (turmeric juice).

“There was impromptu road construction on my road”
